From the City of Sparta Website: Celebrating the rich bluegrass heritage of the area, Liberty Square: A Lester Flatt Celebration . . . this free event brings in national and international touring bluegrass artists for a full day of music on the main stage placed in front of the historic Oldham Theater. The music honors the legacy of the first generation bluegrass musicians Lester Flatt and Benny Martin who called White county home, as well as Blake Williams and Josh Swift who continue to carry the torch for bluegrass music in Sparta and worldwide. There are over 100 craft & food booths.
